After a month and a half of asylum interview, yesterday when i went to the USCIS office for inquiry, they told me that they mailed my results yesterday morning. I checked on the USCIS website but no updates. Is it required for them to update the information on their website or is it normal to not have updates. I am very nervous at this point. This is in Houston.

It is pretty normal for USCIS to not update their records online. I don't think being nervous and being in panic mode is going to help you a bit. You have waited so long,wait a few more days and see whats going on.

Thank you for your response paraozzy. I know being nervous is not going to help me but everyone i have heard and seen get approved had their status updated on USCIS saying card production and stuff but mine keep showing

Asylum status cannot be viewed online until you are approved and become an actual asylee. The only way to find out is to visit field office or write a letter. What's good for you is to wait few more days to receive mail. If they said its already mailed, it will arrive sooner or later. Otherwise, you can always visit their office next week. Just cool down, drink some Dos Equis , you will be fine.
