Am currently on F1 status(graduate school). Just got a job offer on TPS. If they start advertisement now, will there be enough time before i485 will be approved? Assuming TPS will go at least until December 2018. Undergrad major was mathematics. Job being offered is in finance from a very small family office run by an Indian. company has good record of h1b sponsorship. boss is a friend of a cousin.

With the current processing stats and mandatory interview coming on, I doubt you will have your approved 485 by then. But That is enough time for you to get EAD based on i-485 application if processing is started soon.

Nope, the interview is before the decision is made on i-485. If i-485 is approved , you have GC in your hand.
