Hello everyone, I am not sure which is the best time to graduate May or August. Recently I heard that H1 quota for 2007 will be finished very fast. So if i graduate in May and go through consultant can i get H1 for this year. If i didnt get for this year then i am in trouble next year. I can extend my graduation after Summer which is August . Then i have to apply for next year H1. And three months in between from May to August i will be as a student status and not allowed to work..What should i do.. Any suggestions...

May or August ----->>>>>>Does not matter much!!!! May/Aug or Dec------>>>>>Does matter a lot !!!!!! The application starts from April and by the time you get job, it's almost filled up. By Aug, it definitely will!!! Since H1 comes into effect from Oct, you will have either May to Oct or Aug to Oct period to stay in limbo. If you are sure to get job soon after you graduate, i would say, go ahead and graduate in MAY!!! LooTe

Thanks Loote, I have applied for some company, but the response are not fast.. So i am left with only one choise if i graduate in this May ..that will be some Consultant company. But then also i am not sure if i will get h1 for this year. .. May be i should postpone my graduation till August and wait for some other offer. Anyway thanks for your suggestion
