I know u must be thinking how stupid is this question???????? Anyone can marry any one... But my point is if I marry non documented immigrant will that effect my chances of getting H1 visa and later sponsership......... Can my partner benefit anything by marry me?????? Replies appreciated.

Yes you can marry anyone you like. as far your status is concerned, you will be fine, however, your partner's status will not change by just marrying you. your partner will still be considered as illegal.

talk to a lawyer thats the best thing. its a serious issue you dont want to take a chance i am sure. i am sure there will be some way out. i had a boss who came here without any paperworks and is now a citizen.so dont give up. life is too short, just live it with the one you love. good luck. hope things work out well and you guys have a happy life together.

.Your F1 status will not be jeopardized by marrying an illegal immigrant. Your H1 visa process will not be hampered. Your spouse will still be an illegal immigrant, unless you become a citizen and file for her citizenship.

Don't worry dude...if the congress and President Bush has his final say..the current immigration bill will build a road map towards citizenship for your beloved and then she will be citizen and you will still be either F1/H1B (if you are lucky) or become illegal by then. She will be able to sponsor you for citizenship after that. So don't worry dude...people breaking the rules are awarded everywere...either it be in Nepal (where 3000 per month is being paid to terriority for killing innocent brothers and sisters) and in USA (were illigal are being awarded and we following the rule are being over looked). So, dude don't listen to any one demotivating you...follow your path towards citizenship. Break rule and be awarded.
