I have lots of bills to pay and came accross this add on tv about credit card-loan consolidation... i guess few of you have the same problem like me so please advice if this is something to look for or any other alternate ways you can avoid paying those high interest on credit card bills.

Your input will be highly appreciated

Thanks

Consolidation is only 1 step before bankrupty. This will be in your credit history for a while so you can save money now but later when you are buying house car and all it will have a negative effect.

This might be a warning sign to many newcomers out here. Do not put off payments on credit cards. In other words, don't spend over your limit just because you have credit cards. Generally credit cards charge much higher interest rates compared to your regular banks. If you can get loans from your bank, get it and pay off the credit card bills with higher interest rates. As long as you are better off financially, take every options and clear up your debts.

If you are really in pain, instead of doing bankruptcy, it's better idea.

bibas, what about credit card gives 3.99% for the life of the balance, should I use loan which has 8.99% APR, which one is better?
Let's say you send money to Nepal, and go for consolidation, does it help?
If you can't ow won't pay credit card , how come you go for bankcrupcy. If you work for company, they will cut your salary, isn't it true?

thaha,
Credit cards might charge such a low interest only to people with real good credit history and may be some introductory offers. And, read what I said..."generally credit...."
Obviously, he has not paid his bills for quite sometime and the interest rate will be much higher than the normal rate. And, for most "normal" people I guarantee that the rate will be much higher than 4%.
Oh dude, come on, you think all these people out here are stupid or what?

So, do not just act like you are the only smart one out here.
