I have heard rumors that some people's dpouses have been receiving a green card(or is it work permit?) within 6-8 months of getting married to someone with a green card(not citizenship). I have a hard time believing this as the Visa bulletein suggests a longer time period.

I do understand that this is not only possible but is a norm if the spouse is a citizen, but is this even remotely true if the spouse has a green card?

Any insights on this is appreciated.

Oh and of course a lawyer would be better apt to answer this, but I am just throwing it out there for the Sajha immigration experts :D

I think this was the case of  Dec 2010, Jan 2011 Visa bulletin. Did you hear this recently ?  might be you have heard that information now. I am also in the queue. Can you provide me the details? I appreciate it.
