You can withdraw money from your BoA card from any ATM in Nepal to pay for the car.

You can increase the withdrawal limit per day. I don't know if it applies for withdrawal outside the US though.

I have used my credit card in hotels in Nepal. While debit cards usually have limit of 500-1000 per day, so that may take 30 days to fully pay for your car as Logan mentioned above. 😁

Very unlikely dealers in nepal to accept such $30k transaction on a card, an apparel purchase or a dinner is a different story.

I remember Himalayan or Nabil banks ATM allowing only Rs 10,000 (~$100) at a time using by bank of america debit card. If that's the general policy in Nepal, lots of swiping n lots of days.

The best is to transfer that large sum to a Nepalese bank account and withdraw any amount from that bank.

You can do wire transfer from your account here to your or someone's bank account in Nepal. There will be a fee for wire transfer but cash is transferred.

I say let the car dealer figure it out if they want your business. They are the ones who is getting 30k paid! If they don't take a forgeign credit card, I would think that you should be able to wire money to the dealers's account without bringing any third party in between. BOA charges forgein transaction fees I think. Get the card that doesn't charge foregein transaction fee. For e.g. Chase Amazon card doesn't have foregein transaction fee. That will save you 3%.

I saw in the news few months ago that Nepal is waving import tax on electric vehicles that is whooping 200% import tax savings!
