Dude,
Call customer service to unlock it.Tell them that u r goin abroad for a while and u need to use a different sim .That would not be a problem.I did the same thing.Good LUck!!!!!!!!

Software is big process,it may end in failure ,so your phone get hard locked,Hard locked Phone cannot be Unlocked,Software Unlock costs More...So get the Unlock code through Online site and Unlock it.You can get the Unlock code from here
