may i have legal advise? i have green card, three years away from citizenship. Do i marry my girl in Nepal first and apply for visa right away  or wait for citizenship....thx

You can marry your girl anytime you want.  But it will be much much much faster to bring her over when you have the citizenship as opposed to just a green card.

Exactlly, the current wait time for LPR is 4.76 yrs. on F2A category (when you petition your spouse with Greencard).


For Citizens, it takes somewhere betn. 9-12 months after you have your naturalization certificate in your hand.


But if you wanna marry your gurl and apply for non-immigrant visa (like B1/B2 or F1) then never ever apply for her immigrant visa. If you don't wanna apply for non-immigrant visa after you marry her, then simply go ahead and file I-130 for her. Don't wait until you get your Citizenship.
