Hi,

I am planning to apply my Green card. However I am a bit confused which category will I fall to ? EB2 or EB3 ?

As per my job requirement details, it is as below:

i ) Bachelor degree in technology related field.

In the detailed experience seeked, it says as below:

i) Five years of experience with installing, maintaining servers.
ii) Three years of practical experience in routing and network security.

I have more than 5 years of working experience (which they seeked) before I started this job.

Under which category will it fall under,  EB2 or EB3 ?

Thank you

The main difference between EB2 and EB3 right now is the time to process each case. EB3 easily takes anywhere from 4-7 years. EB2 tends to be done within a year provided your case doesn't go for audit.

That might motivate you to go for EB2, however EB2 has stricter requirements. If the job requirement is for Masters then you can apply for EB2. If the requirement is Bachelor + 5 years then I think you might still qualify for EB2 but a lot of scrutiny will be applied to qualify your case.

You definately qualify for EB3, but if you want to go for EB2 then talk to the company lawyers.
