How do you evaluate certain value in Infoview, BusinessObjects on case by case basis. I am working on web intelligece.
For example if a Stautus Code is IA, suppose to display "Item Accepted"
if Status Code is IB, display "Item Backordered"
if it is IC, display Changes Made etc etc.

I cannot use if statement because we can only evaluate true/false.

So is there a switch or case by case statement on variable editor?

You can do if statement. It will be a nested ifs like below:

=if ([Status Code]="IA";"Item Accepted";(if([Status Code]="IB";"Item Backordered"; if([Status Code] = "IC";"Changes Made";"None")))

"None" here is ofcourse the last ELSE value.
