Here is my situation. I had applied for H1 this year but wasn't selected throught the lottery system. Fortunately I applied for OPT extension which was approved and I am glad it got approved. Now that I have OPT extension I am planning to go back to Nepal for few weeks for a visit but my visa has expired (Dec 06). My question is, is it wise to go to mexico and get the US visa and then go to nepal or is it safe to go back to nepal and then apply for a student visa? Please let me know your feedbacks.

Thank you.
