After SBI announced the base rate hike for home loans, the home loan buyers have felt a blow on their budget due to increased EMI. The base rate is increased by 20 points and that will increase the EMI for loan up to 30 lakh by Rs. 368. The home loan rate for SBI has always been the benchmark and this sudden hike has brought down the SBI shares by Rs. 63. The home loan buyers can still relax as other major banks like HDFC bank, ICICI bank and Axis bank are not planning to follow this hike immediately..
