Raj11, My recommendation would be to drive than take a touring bus. It is just 6.5 hrs drive away from NY city.. Take I90W all the way to Buffalo and I290 and I190N. For parking, it depends on where u park.. there are multiple parking places. You can park at Niagara Falls Parking lot 1, 2.. or at One Niagara Welcome Center (open parking lot - $10 dollars) or the opposite side of the Welcome Center (closed Parking lot - $20 dollars).. Just be careful not to pass through Rainbow Bridge on the left side to Canada.. You will figure it out when u reach there. I live in Rochester, NY so I have been to Niagara Falls multiple times. Based on my experience, usually all these tour bus give you 2/3 hrs visit to Niagara Falls and 30 mins only at Niagara Falls whirlpool. I would suggest you to drive by yourself so that you take your time and enjoy. It will be amazing.. I think Maid of the Mist is closed for the season 2016. Usually Boat ride gets closed at the first week of November.. Please check Maid of the Mist website for schedule. You can rent a hotel near by at Buffalo or Niagara Falls based on your expenses.
