POKHARA,
March 6 - Lamachaur area in Pokhara remained tense troughout the day on
Friday following the death of an engineer in a road mishap. Bhrigu
Adhikari, 35, of Gairhapatan died on the spot when a bus hit him at
Lamachaur in the morning. Following the incident, enraged students and
locals staged demonstrations at several places demanding that the
guilty be brought to book and suitable compensation be provided to the
victim's family. Police fired seven tear gas shells to contain the
situation. The deceased, who is an engineer by profession, was employed
at Road Division Office Pokhara.
