OK, so it's been a few years since I last flew to KTM from US, but does anyone know why the once popular route NYC-Europe-Middle East-KTM no longer seems to be of preference by travel agents and or travelers. I see plenty of itineraries these days with 10 hours or more of transit in Delhi and other cities - ridiculous!!! What the hell happened to the routes that used to have only 3-4 hours of transit at each connecting city??

And has the usual $1200 fare really gone up for Qatar and Gulf air? I miss those fare and routes! I really would like to hear from some frequent travelers !

go to makemytrip.com and buy your tickets. I bought NYC to Delhi for 780 ( including taxes and everything ) last year. Spent 3 days in Delhi and then I flew into Kathmandu. That was quite a vacation.
