What is your proof that you are a asylee?

Check your PASSPORT: it might be stamped somewhere.

1. In current context, how long will it take to receive Nepali mrp? - 3 to 5 months
2. How will they find out if you are Ashlee or not? - While applying Nepal Embassy asks for proof of legal status in the US. You will have to present your green card and it mentions amaaili or akaanchi or asaahili.

HOWEVER:

If anyone is out off status and they need proof of photo ID, you can apply for temporary passport, valid for 1 year, and its also MRP. Its cheaper and its faster too. You got to show that you lost your existing passport, file a police report, show proof of police report to embassy and they will issue it.

Try at your own risk ... just a thought hai.
