 Tourist visa

Hi all whose parents or relatives got tourist visa to usa. Do they give for five year or less time. I know that they give 6 months at poe. But not sure if they issue tourist visa for only few month or year at embassy.

They issue tourist visa valid for 5 years but once you enter the US, you can stay upto 6 months at a time. If you overstay, you are doomed and can't come back once you leave!
