I find it really shocking that people who are posting their views here in Sajha every 5 minutes are welcoming the decision of the king Gyanendra. I do give them the benefit of the doubt that they do not know when KG did sack the government and put the leaders on house arrest, he also cut the entire communication channel as well. Do they know Nepal cannot be reached by phones, all the media are censored, no international flights? Professing that Nepal needed such a drastic step may sound thoughtful, but if one has to live at the receiving end of that halted communication environment, it may not be an astounding experience at all. People outside of Nepal do not know the status of their pregnant wives and ailing parents, neither do they know if their friends who believed in freedom and civil liberties have been killed by the security forces and labeled as Maoists. How can one who is enjoying the liberty of expression advocate for the deprivation of same to his fellow countrymen? Would not that be a pinnacle of hypocrisy? Please, advocates of that extreme step to crush civil liberties, try to keep mum to the comments made by others for a day at least and then start professing your theories; just to get the feeling of what you are supporting for, against your own countrymen.

baibhav jee, each one of us, including you and me, are going through the trauma of not being able to contact our near and dear ones. However, it could be a small price to pay for a bigger cause. Let us keep our fingers crossed.

We are certainly keeping our finger crossed. Just in my mind, I cannot create a sound relationship between creating a sense of security to public and shutting down all communication channel.
