Well sometimes...it might be, but it just completely depends on what the circumstances were when the relationship ended... I generally find that from some personal experience... it is good to stay friends with your ex's, it just shows other people that you can be mature about it. And what do you mean by "success of future relationship"? With the ex or someone else? With the ex... yeah for me that didn’t' really work....
