Maoist leader briefly held along with stolen jeep

UCPN (Maoist) politburo member and lawmaker Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma was arrested by the police while travelling in a stolen four-wheeler in the capital Thursday evening.


Bishwokarma, who was taken to Chabahil police station along with the Japanese Pajero jeep he was travelling in, was released after a little more than an hour. He is a former minister.


Police said he was released after be promised to present documents to prove the legal ownership of the four-wheeler. nepalnews.com
